The team is under the stewardship of Coach Corazon Alhido for six years now. Coach Alhido was a former Judo athlete of UC. After graduating from college, she went to Ateneo to take up her masters' degree where she also became a part of Ateneo Judo Team, competing in UAAP for three years. After finishing her masters' degree, she came back to UC and became an instructor in the College of Criminal Justice Education. Under her class DefTac, she eyed potential Judo athletes, she hand-picked them and trained them, hence, becoming UC Judo Team members, eventually making her the coach of the team.
The team now prepares for the upcoming One LaSalle Judo Match in March and the prestigious PRISAA in April to be held in Zamboanga City, where the team hopes to snatch a place to be able to compete in SEA Games.
