The Cologne, Germany-based TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH (DAkkS Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle) has certified the University of the Cordilleras (UC) to be compliant to international standards in the "provision of Basic, Higher Education and Related Support Services." Accordingly, Certificate 01 100 1432570 was handed over to UC on August 27, 2014, entitled "Certificate: International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008;" which is "valid from 2014 until 2017." The Certificate stated that "an audit was performed," and "proof has been furnished that the requirements according to ISO 9001:2008 are fulfilled."

The University of the Cordilleras, formerly Baguio Colleges Foundation has again matched the performance level of the best universities in the country, this time in the Sanitary Engineer Licensure Examination after the university garnered 81.25 percent and was ranked number 4 top performing school nationwide.

Competing in a field of 110 university debating team participants from the country and the ASEAN region, a rookie debater from the University of the Cordilleras, Ms. Josie Passol, a Financial and Management Accounting sophomore was ranked as '6th Best Adjudicator' in the Ateneo International Open Debate Competition held on August 2 to 4 at Ateneo de Manila University, Quezon City.
