UC Faculty Researchers Qualify for the 2009 CHED Republika Awards

A research of the faculty members of the University of the Cordilleras qualified in the regional competition of the Search for Best Research and Publication (REPUBLICA) Awards 2009. The REPUBLICA Awards is organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). It is offered every two years to reward and recognize outstanding research outputs leading to significant advances in priority disciplines and contributing to national development.

The research entitled "Mock Examination: Its Influence on Performance in the Licensure Examination for Teachers" by Ms. Elizabeth S. Montemayor, Ms. Chona C. Roxas, and Ms. Vilma L. Panayon of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) was considered as a Regional Qualifier in the Category II (Social Sciences, Economics, Education and Humanities) of the REPUBLICA Awards. The researchers received a cash incentive of Php25,000.00 from CHED.
